Liverpool Women have been spotlighted for their leadership in equality, diversity, and inclusion at the 2026 Women’s Football Awards. The club and its foundation received the prestigious Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award, celebrating their significant impact on the women’s game. Liverpool FC’s long-term commitment, known as The Red Way, focuses on building a better future for people, the planet, and communities. In collaboration with Her Game Too, the club launched a campaign aimed at tackling sexism and misogyny in football, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for women at Anfield. Over 100 staff members completed specialized training to enhance their response to incidents, reinforcing the club's commitment to inclusivity. The club's global social media platforms have also played a crucial role in elevating female voices in football, achieving a remarkable reach of 14 million through various collaborations. Internally, Liverpool Women are dedicated to creating opportunities for girls and women to participate and lead in football. Since joining the Women in Football membership program, the club has supported female workforce development through workshops and mentorship. The LFC Foundation continues to create accessible pathways for women and girls in local communities, addressing gender disparities through targeted programs. Rishi Jain, Director of Impact at Liverpool FC, emphasized the club's ongoing efforts to drive meaningful progress on gender inclusion, stating that football should be a game where women and girls feel safe and valued. The Women’s Football Awards also honored Matt Beard, with Niamh Fahey receiving a posthumous award on his behalf, recognizing his contributions to the women's game.
